About the illustrator
Philippa Morton was born in 1969, Burnie, Tasmania. She had a beautiful childhood, growing up with her loving parents and two sisters, where she was generously supported in her hobbies of ballet and art. While her formal education and practical application of creative art came only from secondary schooling, she never lost her desire to paint.
Her early career saw her tap her creative talents, within the Australian Army, as a dental ceramist where she served for 15 years.
Philippa is married and is busy raising three young children, who continually give her inspiration for all aspects of life.
Philippa hopes the message within Memory Flowers, will assist children who have experienced loss, as well educate those who have not yet been subjected to the emotion of grief.
CURRENT PROJECT: Philippa is currently working on a project with her mother, Helen, documenting accounts of all Helen’s Tasmanian bushwalking achievements, with a view to publishing in 2011. |
